HOW WE WORK · THE FLIGHT MODEL

Nothing moves forward until the last stage is signed off

Most people have been through a project that went quiet for six weeks and came back wrong. The Flight Model exists to make that structurally difficult: every stage has a defined output and a gate, and the gate does not open until you have seen the work and agreed it.

Eight stages, eight gates

01 Pre-flight

Discovery. What the business does, who it sells to, what is not working now.

Gate: You get a clear read on your position, whether or not you engage us.

02 Flight plan

Scope, tier, timeline and price agreed and put in writing.

Gate: Nothing starts until you have signed it. No hourly creep.

03 Design

Structure, wireframes and visual direction.

Gate: You sign off before anything is built.

04 Build

The site and brand assets produced against the signed design.

Gate: Staged previews. You see it before the public does.

05 Systems

Enquiry capture, workflows, CRM and analytics wired in and tested.

Gate: Tested against real submissions, not assumed to work.

06 Pre-flight check

A quality assurance pass against defined conditions.

Gate: Documented pass conditions, not an opinion that it looks fine.

07 Handover

Recorded walkthroughs, documentation, and the asset and access register.

Gate: You know what exists, whose name it is in, and how to take control of it.

08 Line maintenance

The defect window after launch, then your Monthly Line Maintenance plan.

Gate: A safety net, not a dependency.

What we need from you

  • One decision-maker. Committee sign-off is the most common cause of a project running long.
  • A response within five business days at each gate. Every week of delay moves the launch by the same amount.
  • Content and imagery, or a decision to have us help write and source it.

What we will not do

  • Build on a platform you cannot take with you.
  • Register your domain in our name. It goes in yours, from day one.
  • Leave you without a record of what exists and who controls it.
  • Start work before the scope and price are agreed in writing.
  • Hold your site back when you leave. The hand-back is documented and free once invoices are paid.
